We Deserve Environmental Justice!

  • Every Day More of us have Asthma and Obesity in Little Village, Chicago and the world
  • In Latino communities, children and adults are missing school and work because asthma and obesity.
  • Children in our neighborhoods are more likely to go to schools with poor indoor air, no recess and gym only once week.
  • Our children’s lungs are being hurt every day by dirty air from factories, coal power plants, too many trucks and cars
  • Our children eat food in school with too much sugar, fat and salt
  • Working together, we can make our schools and communities healthier places for our children, seniors and ourselves.
  • Our children, communities and schools deserve clean air and healthy food!.

The Little Village Environmental Justice Organization (LVEJO) has joined with the Little Village Academy, Healthy Schools Campaign, West Town Leadership United, the Midwest Latino Center, and the Cook County Bureau of Health Services to form the Partnership to Reduce Asthma and Obesity in Latino Schools.
